It has been nine years since the last time a new John Carpenter film has come out. One of the few directors that has valiantly earned title of Master of Horror, nine years is far too long. Fortunately for us, his extended absence is over, and he's making his comeback this year at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The TIFF website has posted three stills from the film, two featuring Amber Heard, the third of Carpenter himself. Taking place in the 1960s, Head plays a young mental patient who begins to be tormented by supernatural forces. The film co-stars Mamie Gummer, Danielle Panabaker, Jared Harris, and Lyndsy Fonseca.
