Taylor Schilling Will Be Zac Efron's Mystery Woman In The Lucky One

Zac Efron was paired with a up-and-coming actress in his latest weepy star vehicle Charlie St. Cloud, and he'll apparently be at it again in The Lucky One, the adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel in which Efron will play a Marine returning home from Iraq and searching for the mystery woman whose photo was his good-luck charm. Variety reports that Taylor Schilling has played on to play the woman in the film, which will be directed by Scott Hicks.

Schilling had a major role on the short-lived nurse drama Mercy, but her most interesting credit has to her starring role in Atlas Shrugged, the cheapie adaptation of Ayn Rand's novel that went into production in June entirely because the producers would have lost the rights otherwise. I have no idea if anyone will ever get to see this version of Atlas Shrugged-- it seems to be something like the mythical Roger Corman Fantastic Four movie, which will be made and then buried-- but maybe we'll get to see Schilling play both a railroad magnate and Zac Efron's love interest in the same year. Take that, Charlie St. Cloud love interest Amanda Crew!
